SIMON:
Let’s talk about some PIXIE products. You can see here I’ve got a PIXIE dimmer, which is the blue one, and A PIXIE switch, which is the orange one. And you’ll notice as we do this training, that each of our products on the base has a different colour.

We define those different colour so that no matter who we’re supporting, we’re able to quickly identify that we’re talking about the right product and the same product. All of our dimmers are blue, all of our switching products are orange, and you’ll see as we go through that they’re different. So, that’s just a quick snapshot of something very simple to support. Talking about support, it’s important to understand that what we’re looking at here is generation 2 product. We started with something generation 1, which is much larger.

And you’ll see, as we go through the training, we’re now in generation three products. So, a few things on that. First of all, generation 1 to generation 2 are all compatible with each other. But more importantly, we’re able to continue to develop the product because SAL National who owns the PIXIE product, owns all of the products. So, we own the hardware, we own the software. We own the cloud service that we provide.

And this enables us to continue to develop the product, but also support the product. So, whether we’re supporting you, we’re supporting the homeowner, or you’re electrical wholesaler, the SAL PIXIE engineers who make, design and ultimately bring this product into Australia are the people that also support it. That’s important for you as the electrician, and important for the homeowner who’s going to have these product installed in their home for the next 5, 10, 15, 20 years.

Hi guys, Do we have ballpark eta’s or any new details for the G3 smart dimmers? Will they enable 6gang plate fit offs or still be limited to a total of 3 smart switches / dimmers on a plate?

Cheers!

Awesome mate!, I might wait and keep an eye out. Im rolling them out at home throughout the house (extensive reno). Have a few G2’s in areas…

So makes it heaps easier when able to fit all on one plate!

Thanks heaps mate, and i look forward to getting my hands on some G3’s!
